Free AI Cover Art for Your Track: Gemini and DALL·E in SONOMUSE
Without artwork, Spotify, Apple Music, Yandex Music and other platforms will not accept your release. Hiring a designer costs money and time, and random templates from the web often fail review. In the SONOMUSE dashboard you can make a cover yourself: describe the idea in words and an AI model draws the image. For SONOMUSE users this is free.
Why artwork matters
Cover art is the first thing a listener sees in playlists, search and recommendations. Weak or generic artwork lowers clicks even when the track is strong. Platforms require a 3000×3000 px square without streaming logos, links, QR codes, prices or contacts.
If you do not have an image yet, generating one in the dashboard saves both budget and days of waiting on a designer.
What you get in the dashboard
Upload your own cover — JPG, PNG or TIFF if a designer already made it or you created it yourself.
Gemini — cover generation by Google’s AI: describe the scene, style and mood of the track.
DALL·E — cover generation by OpenAI’s AI: another visual style if you want to compare options.
Both generation modes are free for SONOMUSE users. You can create several versions and pick the best one for the release.
How to make a cover in a minute
1. Sign up at sonomuse.com — we will open your dashboard.
2. Create a release and open the artwork block.
3. Choose Gemini or DALL·E and write a prompt: genre, colours, atmosphere, what should appear in the image. For example: “neon city at night, synthwave, raindrops”.
4. Hit Create, check the 3000×3000 preview and generate another version if needed.
5. Attach the chosen cover to the release together with the audio and track details.
How to write a prompt
Short and specific prompts work better than long vague lists. Name the mood (dark, warm, club), visual style (synthwave, minimalism, photorealism), main objects and colours.
Do not ask for Spotify, Apple Music or other platform logos — the release will be rejected. Do not put links, phone numbers or QR codes on the artwork.
After the cover — the release
When the audio and artwork are ready, submit the release for review. Publication on streaming services usually takes 1–7 business days. In one release you can select Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Yandex Music, VK Music and 450+ other platforms in 200+ countries. Your rights to the music stay with you.
Summary
Artwork should not block a release. With SONOMUSE you upload your own image or generate a cover for free with Gemini and DALL·E right in the dashboard — and put the track out without a designer or extra spend.
